IRONMAN WISCONSIN REDEMPTION
2007 Stats:
Swim: 1:33:56 (15 MIN PR)
T1: 11:52 (4 MIN PR)
BIKE: 6:50:54 (43 MIN PR)
T2: 7:46 (11 MIN PR)
RUN: 4:22:27 (36 MIN PR)
OVERALL: 13 HOURS 7 MINUTES
1 Hour 45 Minute Overall PR
2006 will always be the most memorable for me, since it was my first IronMan finish and the weather was crazy extreme.
2007 will be the most incredible, all the hard work finally paid off for me.
9 of us from our TRI club entered the race, 9 of us became IRONMAN this day, 7 for the first time. 8 of us finished in under 14 hours. Without them, the long training hours together, through the rain, snow, cold, and heat. Them pushing me by just trying to keep up with them on a weekly basis, this day would have not been possible without them.
To the other TRI teammates (Laura, Michele, Greg, and Kerri) who made the trip to cheer us all on throughout the entire day, I thank you!!
To all the bloggers I met on the course, who all became IronMan also, great job everyone. The the others bloggers from TRITEACHER cheering me at Verona, XT4 & BAUN during the run, the blogger who dressed up in a full COW outfit and cheered us all along, and to THOMPS giving me my finishers medal, and the rest who cheered me via the computer, your support was greatly appreciated.
To my wife, the biggest supporter of them all and dealt with my insanity this entire year, she is truly my "IRONMATE".
Now while I still think about this incredible day for the next few days, while trying to get the soreness out of my legs. It's time now to sit back and enjoy the moment and off course down a couple of cheese danishes or two.

yes -- enjoy it -- and rest!
You looked smoking fast on the bike and were so SOLID on the run. Thanks for wearing the spider man outfit so we could find you relatively easily.
That person in the cow outfit was our very own ultra-comment-love-blogger "irunforhope", Laurie! (my roommate)
Way to go, Ironman.
Congratulations! That is a super awesome PR.
You looked great out there every time I saw you. And yes, it's true, it was me in the cow outfit. I was just doing what I could to bring a smile to the athletes' faces, yours included. Rest up and I am looking forward to reading your full report.
Soak it in...every last drop.
Woo Hoo,
You looked awesome and fast!
Congratulations Ironman
Following along from home, your times looked impressive. What I didn't realize was just how much faster you were this year. Wow. That's some impressive improvement!!
I had a maple frosted cinnamon danish (yummm) in your honor yesterday...well, that was my excuse for the day anyway. LOL.
AMAZING DAY!!!!! Congrats!!!!!!!!!
I'm not sure if you saw me out there or not, but I was cheering (and cowbell'ing) you everytime I saw you.
Totally inspiring, great job Bubba.
I got in for 2008, can't wait.
What a day, huh?!?! It was so wonderful to finally meet you and to share this day with you. Congrats on your fantastic finish!
I was tracking you all day. Congrats. Impressive finish! Enjoy the recovery - you deserve it!!

Congratulations on the HUGE PR!! Great to see you again. Enjoy those danishes!
Congrats!! Awesome job on the PR.
I had a great time Sunday tracking all the bloggers out there.
Man, that is a fantastic PR. One of these days I may even PR. Fantastic job!
OMG, everything you want, you have deserved it, danishes are tame. And I love the term IRONMATE - do you think my boyfriend would be flattered if I called him that, although I just run a lil bit?
Congrats, awesome job
AWESOME. Dude you were a stud all day. Glad to have hung with you for awhile, and really proud of what you accomplished.
Awesome job!!!
Yea!!!!!! CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP Way to go! Yea, savor the PR and the race, that's both awesome and inspiring.
You totally ROCK!
I know there is some twisted 100 mile ultra in your near future, but how about we do the two-man RAAM together? I'll even spring for the RV and the Butt Butter!
You'll have to come to Minnesota for some training this winter.
You make me laugh - cheese danishes! It was a pleasure being out there with you that day, Bubba. Yes, REDEMPTION! What a superb PR!
