2009!!

I have had a little bit of hiatus from blogging, but I had the urge to blog. (Actually been fascinated with FaceBook, anybody else?)

I have taken it easier since my last race, pretty much from Ultra Runner to Ultra Lazy. Working out when I can and trying to run faster in the process. Which caused me to aggravate my chronic issues on my good foot. The dreaded plantar fasciitis, so that has sidelined me a little more and contributed more to the my fascination with junk food over the holidays as well.

But in a couple of weeks, the new year will be arriving and plans for 2009 have already been set in motion.

So for 2009 I have traded the cows for the horses and heading down to tackle Iron Man Louisville. Should be a great time with several people from the triathlon club racing as well. Time to go under 12:30 or at least try anyways. So that will be my focus for the 2009 racing season, and to hopefully still keep my Ultra Running card active, tackle a local 50 miler as well.

But before then, an epic endurance adventure will begin in February of 2009. A journey that will test my endurance, patience, produce some tense moments, and of course produce a range of emotions, as I will try to endure this great adventure once again with a little bit of sanity.

The stork will be arriving to drop off it's extra care package at the end of February. Yup another RUGRAT to add to the clan.

So busy times ahead, something I'm looking forward to but a little bit nervous to endure as well.

So two major adventures next year, one my "A" race in life and the other my "A" race in my endurence life.

Let the adventure begin and getting used to lack of sleep once again.

Now time to read what you other bloggers have been up to?

That's an ambitious agenda. You better continue to rest that injured plantar muscle if you are going to go the distance in 2009.
